Nice, very simple demo code. I was able to add 3 more buttons to rotate in the opposite directions in about 120 seconds. Excellent example

Nice bit of work, but I have a few criticisms. Your code produces run-time errors when heavily exercised and there is almost no error checking and no trapping. There is almost no inline commentary, so your intent and method are not very clear. This makes it difficult to debug your code.
One small suggestion: Add a PictureBox control to the form and use its hDC rather than the form's hDC. Then use the PictureBox's paint procedure in place of the forms. This will allow controls that do not obscure the graphical output. This would be useful if one wanted to put a selection of rendering methods on a menu or, say, three extra buttons that allow for yaw, pitch and roll in the other direction.
On the plus side, I had a very pleasent evening playing with and modifying your code. Thanks for the fun! :)

Hi Martin,
that's wonderful tool you made!
Thank you!
I have a question:
I created 6 more buttons for translation. It works fine for the x- and y-axis. But it looks not good in the x-axis-translation. It looks like the jet is cutted. Then it disappears.

But it should be enlarged by moving it in the z-axis.
Do you know this problem? Is it a problem of Open GL?
Do you know how I can avoid this problem?
- Thanks a lot.
Rudiger
