This is my attempt at a secure password keeper. My pc was compromised a while ago and the intruder used my saved passwords in my browser to buy gift cards from Steam and Amazon using my PayPal account. Number one lesson I learned, always lock my PC when not sitting in front of it. But I also realized that I should never store my passwords in the browser. Even though the intruder couldn't see the passwords, the browser will auto-fill the password to any site that has a saved password. So all he had to go was go to my PayPal account and the browser auto-logged him in. Same with my Steam and Amazon accounts. So I deleted every saved password from all my browsers and created this app. I made it as secure as possible. You can find the project on GitHub, which will always be the most up-to-date code. On GitHub, I am tolsen64. This program can use the following as its database: JSON file, XML file, SQLite, MySQL, or MSSQL. It uses a Database Factory to eliminate having to write separate code for each database type.

Note: Due to the size or complexity of this submission, the author has submitted it as a .zip file to shorten your download time. Afterdownloading it, you will need a program like Winzip to decompress it.Virus note:All files are scanned once-a-day by Planet Source Code for viruses, but new viruses come out every day, so no prevention program can catch 100% of them. For your own safety, please:
  1. Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
  2. NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.

If you don't have a virus scanner, you can get one at many places on the net including:McAfee.com
